Led by the Dennison Rotary Club, the entire community became involved with the project to construct a helipad on Twin City Hospital's campus. Numerous local businesses, village and city departments, individuals and clubs donated their time and/or resources to help the project come to fruition. The Dennison Rotary Club also assisted local teen Todd Edwards to earn his Eagle Scout rank by helping with the helipad project. Edwards had wanted to give something back to those who had helped him to recover from a life-threatening sledding accident that necessitated his use of the lifeflight services.

After recovering from the accident, Edwards and his friends from Boy Scout Troop 429 donated over 400 hours of labor and raised nearly $2,100 to assist in the construction of the helipad. The Dennison Rotary Club raised over $25,000 to complete the project and provided thousands more via in-kind contributions and labor. Truly a project that brought our communities together in support of Twin City Hospital and saving lives, the helipad project was dedicated during a ribbon cutting ceremony that took place on Sunday, July 26, 1992 at 3:00 p.m.
