"Specializing in the Treatment of Children"
Under the direction of Sally K. Bonner, PT, Twin City
Hospital's Pediatric Wellness Program provides an
innovative means where children from birth to age 18
can receive development screenings and therapy
interventions. Understanding our program is as easy
as 1, 2, 3...
-
Early Development Screenings (Birth to 35 months)
-
Preschool Development Screenings (36 months to 5 years)
-
Child Development Screenings (5 to 8 years)
Our development screenings are free, twenty-minute consultations that
utilize the professional, courteous Twin City Hospital staff specializing in
physical, occupational and speech therapy. Such screenings will help
identify developmental problems your child might have. (Physician
referral is unnecessary for development screenings.)
Visit our Upcoming Events page for the date of our next screening.
Therapy services are available from our staff of skilled physical therapists,
occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists who have over 50 years of combined
experience working with children. Below, our speech-language pathologist works with a
child using our state-of-the-art augmentative communication system that was purchased
through a generous grant from the Rainbow Connection.
Thanks to a generous grant of nearly $20,000 from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of
Northeastern Ohio and local McDonald's Owner/Operator Dana Lewis, Twin City Hospital's
Pediatric Wellness Program also boasts the area's only public Snoezelen Rooms. The Snoezelen
Rooms provide a multi-sensory, therapeutic
environment for children. Below, one of our patients is overjoyed during a therapy session
while using the
lighted ball pit in one of the Snoezelen Rooms.
We provide the following classes on a regular basis for
area parents, children and healthcare professionals.
