| Carnation Mammography Center |
 |
To aid in the early detection of breast cancer, Twin City Hospital's Carnation Mammography Center provides mammography testing. It includes low-dose screen-film views of both breasts using a state of the art machine. In April and October of each year, the Center offers special reduced screening fees in conjunction with the Twin City Women's Civic League. Our mammography unit is fully compliant with the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992 (ACR/FDA certified).

| Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) |
 |
Twin City Hospital and Shared Imaging, a provider of sophisticated mobile technologies, have collaborated to offer mobile magnetic resonance (MRI) services at the hospital two days a week.
The MRI uses a powerful magnetic field in conjunction with radio waves to cause hydrogen atoms or other elected elements in the body to give off faint signals, which then are picked up and computer-processed into various images. Images are of such amazing clarity and detail that physicians are able to identify problems of the brain, spine, knee, wrist, heart, abdomen, and other organs and tissue masses.
Because the MRI system is considered noninvasive, it offers fewer risks than some diagnostic alternatives. In some instances, it may reduce the need for lengthy hospital stays, thereby holding down healthcare costs.
For more information about MRI services at Twin City Hospital, call the Director of Radiology Services at (740) 922-2800, ext. 2248.
